It’s time to relive the epic 1 vs. 1,000 battles that defined an era! KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Omega Force have officially launched DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition Remastered, available now on PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch™ 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam®.
Combining all the classic content from the original DYNASTY WARRIORS 3 and its expansion DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Xtreme Legends, this definitive remaster brings refined graphics, updated controls, and brand-new features to modern platforms.
Expanded Roster & Modernized Mechanics
Alongside the returning roster of over 40 classic officers, the remaster introduces Ziluan, the protagonist from DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS, as a playable officer.
While keeping fan-favorite combat features like True Musou Attacks intact, the game introduces several dynamic new mechanics:
- Evasion & Just Evasion: Allows players to quickly dodge attacks or withdraw, with perfectly timed dodges triggering a devastating “Just Evasion” counterattack.
- Perfect Power Guard: Deflect enemy strikes to stun opponents and create open counterattack windows.
- Weapon Fusion: Forge ultimate custom weapons by consuming unwanted gear to transfer elemental attributes and skills.
Players looking for a pure retro experience can use Classic Settings to turn off new mechanics in bulk, or customize individual settings to suit their personal playstyle.
Multiplayer & Post-Launch Updates
The release features the return of acclaimed offline 2-player split-screen co-op across Musou Mode, Free Mode, and VS Mode. KOEI TECMO has also confirmed that a post-launch update will introduce full online two-player co-op.
Free Demo Available Now
Players can test their skills before jumping in via a free demo featuring the special scenario “Battle of Hulao Gate (Allied Forces)”. The demo offers six playable officers—Zhao Yun, Guan Yu, Xiahou Dun, Zhenji, Zhou Yu, and Sun Shangxiang—and gives players a chance to face down a legendary secret opponent on the battlefield.
DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition Remastered is available to buy now on PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
