Fresh from opening the 34th Raindance Film Festival, director Michel K. Parandi’s neon-drenched dystopian thriller April X is officially making its way to select UK cinemas on the October 2, 2026, courtesy of Vertigo Releasing.

Set against the gritty neon backdrop of a post-Soviet near-future, the film stars Connor Storrie (Heated Rivalry) as Bax, an overconfident hustler surviving on the fringes by fencing synthetic organs on the black market. He shares a small apartment with his twin sister, April (played by Lilly Krug, Plane), whose rare neurological ability to record and archive her dreams digitally makes her an invaluable prize for tech conglomerates and criminal syndicates alike. When an illicit medical deal goes sour, April vanishes without a trace—plunging Bax into a paranoid, violent underworld as he searches for her through a maze of cloned lookalikes and hyper-surveillance drones.
Channeling the paranoid grit of classic French cinema alongside cyberpunk world-building, April X marries fast-paced mystery with a grounded emotional core about family and the fragile nature of memory.
