The largest Marvel movie ever made (to date that is) is back in the cinemas and burning through cash at the worldwide box office. The newly minted Avengers: Endgame Encore and it has turned the internet on its head. The extended cinema sequences act as a set up to Avengers: Doomsday, attempting to tie up loose threads from the Infinity Saga as well as setting the stage for the be all, end all multiversal catastrophe.
The New Scenes: A Direct Lead-In to ‘Doomsday’
Steve and Peggy’s Dance Interrupted
The first sequence picks up immediately after the emotional final shot of Endgame, where Steve Rogers stays in the past to live out his life with Peggy Carter. Just as the record finishes playing, the door knocks and Loki—the God of Stories walks in much to the shock of Steve.
He offers to help them both but the scene cuts before we know the specifics.
The TVA Incursion Event
This scene is the heavy hitter. Sending us back to the LOKI series and inside the new TVA headquarters, where Mobius, Ouroboros and the others stand before a towering set of monitors displaying multiple timelines and universes.
They don’t seem too scared initially mentioning Universe E10005 and E1127 are about to collide in a Level 1 Incursion Event. However they are surprised to see that both Earths are attacking each other. This is important as E10005 is in fact the official designation for 20th Century Fox’s X-Men cinematic universe, which includes the original X-Men film series and the Deadpool movies.
Just then, another Incursion event kicks into high gear and sending the TVA into panic, then just as quickly a third Incursion kicks off, confirming earths E7355 and E0050 have been terminated from impact. From what I can find, these designations have no pre established continuity.
Ultimately they confirm that at least 3000 Universes have fallen in this moment alone and clearly the TVA do not know what to do. It ends with a shot of the monitor showing the Yggdrasil world tree that Loki created at the end of LOKI but only three universes remain, safe to say these will be 616, 828 and 10005, aka The Marvel Cinematic Universe, The Fantastic Four Universe and the Fox X Men Universe.
We also have Ouroboros (played by Ke Huy Quan) confirming what we all know.

I have also seen a screenshot circling around from a scene not yet sighted that appears to confirm other film universes have fallen and these designations are all from previous Marvel movies or shows.

Doctor Doom Takes 616 Bruce Banner
The final sequence takes place in an isolated containment facility where Bruce Banner (who appears to have taken up vlogging) is experimenting on a gamma suppression serum after the events of Spider-Man Brand New Day. The room is suddenly rocked, knocking his camera to the side and showing us glowing green runes suddenly etch themselves onto the floor, and Doctor Doom appears off screen.
“Mr. Banner, I’m here to collect you.”

Banner attempts to fight back, transforming into the Hulk, but Doom neutralizes him almost instantly. Mark Ruffalo was not previously announced for Doomsday so this would be interesting to see where Bruce or the Hulk turns up next!
What This Means for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’
Well this is the sort of content we have been waiting for! It’s the build up we should have been seeing for years but now currently locked behind Avengers Endgame DLC Rerelease.
We now have proof that the TVA are witnessing every single universe is colliding into each other, while simultaneously seeing that the FOX X-Men universe is fighting off other universes set to collide with them.
We know Loki visits moments after we left Steve and Peggy but we don’t know how long Steve has been in his branched timeline for by this point.
We also have brand new information that Doctor Doom has taken Earth 616’s Bruce Banner/Hulk for reasons as yet unknown, which is heart breaking when you realise how badly Bruce has been used by others including Jean Grey in Brand New Day and now by Doctor Doom.
While I expect these to get official releases sometime before Avengers Doomsday drops, it’s such a shame they have been held for a 7 year old film rerelease.
