After a critically-acclaimed run in cinemas we finally know when Amazon MGM Studios’ blockbuster Project Hail Mary will be available to stream in the UK. Directed by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller, the film will come exclusively to MGM+ in the UK beginning June 18, 2026.
In the film, based on the novel by Andy Weir, science teacher Ryland Grace (Ryan Gosling) wakes up on a spaceship light years from home with no recollection of who he is or how he got there. As his memory returns, he begins to uncover his mission: solve the riddle of the mysterious substance causing the sun to die out. He must call on his scientific knowledge and unorthodox ideas to save everything on Earth from extinction… but an unexpected friendship means he may not have to do it alone.

Ryan Gosling delivers one of his best performances to date alongside a talking rock creature who thanks to the voice work of James Ortiz brings a strong friendship to the big screen. The film left me feeling completely satisfied and fulfilled and I will happily place it up in the top contenders for movie of the year 2026.”
