Check out the trailer below:
Directed by Alex Kahuam (Failure!, Forgiveness), the story follows Jason (Timothy Granaderos), a devoted son pushed to his breaking point while caring for his terminally ill mother, Maria.
Plagued by sleep deprivation and horrific nightmares of a creature consuming his mother, Jason’s reality begins to fracture. Tensions peak when his estranged sister, Rachel (London Thor), returns from psychiatric care. Convinced a genuine evil has infested their home, she turns to forbidden spiritual rituals—setting the stage for a violent clash between Jason’s skepticism and Rachel’s desperate faith.
In a final, desperate act of love, Jason resorts to an “obscure, ancient remedy” to save his mother. While the treatment produces miraculous physical results, it seemingly invites something predatory into their lives. As Maria heals, the house itself begins to transform into a claustrophobic trap where paranoia and supernatural forces converge.
The film stars Timothy Granaderos (13 Reasons Why) as the unraveling Jason, London Thor (Gen V, The Boys) as the spiritually vigilant Rachel, Doug Jones (The Shape of Water, Pan’s Labyrinth) in an undisclosed role with Jenny O’Hara (Devil) and Chris Mulkey (Twin Peaks, Whiplash) rounding out the veteran ensemble.
The Remedy is due to have its world premiere at the SXSW London on the 3rd June 2026 with an encore screening on the 6th June.
