Having taken a look at what Prime Video and Paramount+ have on offer for fans in April 2026. Now it’s the time of our favourite horror streamer, Shudder, to tell us what they have in store to keep us hiding behind the sofa as spring kicks into high gear.
April includes two new original films which look set to thrill and chill as spring gets fully underway. So before we dive in to the library additions, here’s a look at each of those new original films:
Deathstalker – Shudder Exclusive Film
New Film Premieres Exclusively on Shudder and AMC+ Friday 3 April
When Deathstalker (Daniel Bernhardt, John Wick, Nobody), recovers a cursed amulet from a corpse-strewn battlefield, he’s marked by dark magick and hunted by assassins. To survive, he must break the curse and face the rising evil. Featuring Patton Oswalt as the voice of the wizard Doodad.
Dolly – Shudder Original Film
New Film Premieres Exclusively on Shudder and AMC+ Friday 24 April
A young woman, Macy (Fabianne Therese, John Dies at the End), fights for survival after being abducted by a deranged, monster-like figure who wants to raise her as their child. Starring Seann William Scott (Final Destination), Ethan Suplee (American History X), and pro-wrestler Max the Impaler.

Death Warmed Up
A kid is hypnotized by a scientist to kill his parents and ends up in a mental institution. As a grown-up, he returns to seek revenge over the scientist.
Willard (1971)
A social misfit uses his only friends, his pet rats, to exact revenge on his tormentors.
Ben (1972)
A lonely boy befriends Ben, the leader of a violent swarm of killer rats.
Luther the Geek
A psychotic killer convicted of multiple murders is released on parole after spending twenty years in prison. His psychosis immediately takes over, and he goes on a killing spree.
Three…Extremes
An Asian cross-cultural trilogy of horror films from accomplished indie directors.
Three (aka Three Extremes 2)
An anthology consisting of three horror shorts from different Asian directors: Memories by Kim Jee-woon, The Wheel by Nonzee Nimibutr, and Going Home by Peter Chan.
Steppenwolf (2024)
Tamara searches for her missing son in a violent town. She hires a morally questionable ex-detective to find him. His methods are cruel, but she is determined to find her sone whatever the cost.
The Crazies
After a strange plane crash, an unusual toxic virus enters a quaint farming town. A young couple is quarantined, but they fight for survival along with help from others. Directed by George A. Romero.
Season of the Witch
A neglected, unhappy suburban housewife gets mixed up in witchcraft with unexpected consequences. Directed by George A. Romero.
6 April
Relaxer
With the impending Y2K apocalypse fast approaching, Abbie is faced with the ultimate challenge – the unbeatable level 256 on Pac-Man – and he can’t get off the couch until he conquers it. A survival story set in a living room.
Earwig
A 50-year-old caretaker is employed to look after a 10-year-old girl. His most important task is to maintain her dentures that are made of ice and must be changed several times of day.
9 April
Shiver
Wendy Alden, a young secretary in Portland lacking in self-confidence becomes victim of a savage killer who has claimed the lives of a number of other women. Somehow Wendy finds the resources of courage to fight back and escape.
20 April
Bridge to Nowhere (Please note new date, previously listed in March highlights)
Kids on an outing in the forest come up against a mysterious hermit who lives on the other side of a bridge, and he is definitely not happy to see them.
