One of the biggest reveals of last night’s Super Bowl is the news that the latest Minion adventure from Universal Pictures and Illumination is titled Minions and Monsters. The animated family adventure is currently set to hit UK cinemas on July 1, 2026.
The title was first revealed during the big game in a short spot which saw one of the Minions running for the screen screaming “Minions” and then “Monster”. The spot itself then pointed fans to head online to watch the full trailer which has been posted across Universal’s social channels.
A short synopsis for the film teases the latest chaos facing the Minions: This is the rambunctious, ridiculous and totally true story of how the Minions conquered Hollywood, became movie stars, lost everything, unleashed monsters onto the world and then banded together to try and save the planet from the mayhem they had just created.
