Filming on Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom has begun and director James Wan definitely plams on keeping eager fans in the loop. Today, the horror-director posted a brand new image from the set of Aquaman 2. Filming is currently taking place in Devon at Saunton Sands. Wan didn’t share much but we did get a great look at Patrick Wilson doing his best impression of Tom Hanks’ Cast Away. One minor difference being that Patrick Wilson’s Orm is in trumendous shape rather than starving. Although, if Orm is on an island all on his own can he have a volleyball called Patrick or Wilson?
You can check out the image below that was shared via James Wan’s Instagram:
So, what does this mean? Honestly, it’s hard to tell. Based on what happened after Arthur and Orm’s fight at the end of the first movie, Orm could have been marooned or imprisoned on some sort of island hense the ragged trousers and long beard. Although, if he’s on an island why doesn’t he just swim away? Or perhaps he is too ashamed because of his actions?
Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom could see Orm assume a less villainous role. If the threat of the movie endangers both Atlantis and the surface it could be enough to force Orm to work with his brother. Sorry, half-brother. What do you think? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
It’s safe to assume that this won’t be the last on-set picture James Wan teases us with, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled for more goodies. Aquaman 2 is currently set to debut in theatres on December 16, 2022.
