We’ve been hearing for a while that Marvel’s Black Widow movie would begin production in February. Now it seems the movie may not quite be ready to get the cameras rolling just yet.
Collider is reporting that Ned Benson (The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby) has been tapped by the studio to rewrite the script.
Cate Shortland is still set to direct the movie which has yet to be formally announced by Marvel Studios. The original script was written by Jac Schaeffer (The Hustle).
Black Widow will see the return of Scarlett Johansson in her first solo outing. The film currently doesn’t have a release date but is expected to occupy the May 1, 2020 release date being held by Marvel Studios.
