Author George R.R. Martin has seemingly revealed the title of his Game of Thrones prequel. Martin was tweeting out the news we brought you yesterday that Naomi Watts will take the lead role in the series. The cast of Warner Bros. new Pennyworth series continues to grow. X-Men: First Class star Jason Flemyn has joined that cast in a new role. Director Cathy Yan has recently opened up about landing the job of directing Birds of Prey. The director has also touched on her hopes for the project including confirmation it is aiming for an R-rating. Gotham has found itself a new villain for its final season. Deadline has broken the news that Dexter album Jaime Murray is joining the series for its final run of episodes. Murray will play Theresa Walker, seemingly a newly invented character not from the comics. Walker is described as a socialite who arrives in the city with a dark secret. Some interesting news to break overnight from EW as The Ring’s Naomi Watt has landed the lead in a new Game of Thrones prequel series. We have previously heard that HBO has been developing multiple properties to continue the long-running franchise. With the flagship show due to end in 2019 it’s a race to the screen for any continuation series.
