    Oni Press has released an onslaught of face-melting new covers for the upcoming Fort Phsyco – the brand-new, high-intensity, compulsively page-turning maxi-series from Matt Kindt (BRZKR, Mind MGMT) and acclaimed artist Brian Hurtt (The Sixth Gun). The new covers, by comics master Lewis LaRosa (Punisher MAX, Bloodshot Reborn), will be available in stores alongside issue #1 in August 2026.

    LaRosa’s contributions to the book will represent his first consistent return to ongoing cover duties for the first time in several years and mark his first all-new project for Oni Press. Get the first look at the next rash of wickedly iconic covers as well as a first peek inside his first career-spanning artbook Carbon Based: The Art of Lewis LaRosa, in stores now.

    “What a tremendous honour to have a career retrospective of my work!” said artist Lewis LaRosa.“It’s quite a ride to look back and see where you started and how you grew and evolved over the years with the opportunities you had. I believe my best work is still ahead of me, and I mean to bring my brutal best to Matt Kindt and Brian Hurtt’s brilliant Fort Psycho! With Carbon Based my greatest hope is that it gives anyone who flips through it the sudden urge to pick up a pencil and DRAW!”

    Beginning with the first issue of Fort Psycho – hitting stands everywhere in August – LaRosa will join series co-creator and interior artist Brian Hurtt on ongoing shelf covers for the shrapnel-laden, nerve-tightening action epic that will soon unravel the many secrets and betrayals of a team of disgraced secret agents … and the truth about the classified island prison where they have been sent to atone for their innumerable crimes. LaRosa’s raw black-and-white artwork will be made available as additional, incentive covers from Fort Psycho #1 onward through the series’ long-planned, closely held conclusion.

    Since making his professional debut at the dawn of the 21st century, American illustrator Lewis LaRosa has defined himself as one of the most singular masters of the modern comic medium—fusing dynamic reference-based realism, stylized superhero storytelling, and a master’s control of shadow and light to produce a wholly unique, jaw-dropping style that could only be called “carbon based.” In this first-ever career retrospective—spanning over 250 pages of LaRosa’s raw, unexpurgated line art in all of its painstakingly rendered intensity, alongside rarely seen character designs, concepts, and more from Marvel Comics, Valiant Entertainment, Epic Games, BOOM!
