Great news Sonic fans! The fourth installment in the live-action franchise has officially started filming. That’s right, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles are back in their trailers preparing to jump onto set for their next big adventure. Considering how each film has escalated in size and scope, this fourth film could be the biggest yet. Unfortunately, as of now… We know literally nothing. However, we are a year away from its release. Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will be coming to cinemas in March 2027.
To celebrate the announcement, director Jeff Fowler took to social media to share a picture of himself on the set of Sonic 4. Surprise, surprise… It gives nothing away. It is nice to see the “4” in the title adopt a pink colour to tease the arrival of Amy Rose, but we’re fairly certain that Amy won’t be the only iconic character to join the fray- it’s just working out who else- the possibilities are staggering.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is set to speed onto the big screen in March 2027. We know very little about this sequel, apart from Amy’s introduction, so we’re hoping it won’t be long before we start seeing some casting announcements- Will Shadow be back? What about Eggman? We have so many questions!
