As part of The Forge, Makinarium has introduced the first in a series of Makers Bench, DIY Prop Making Kits. The first kit, called “The Key Device” from The Wasteland Nomad, is made with film industry grade components and comes with step-by-step online videos that guide users through creating their own props using film industry techniques. However, it is up to the maker how much they want to adapt and embellish their device.
“With The Forge, we wanted to build a space where creatives, makers, artists and fans from all walks of life can connect, ask questions, and feel part of the wider creative community,” said Amanda Darby, Managing Director. “It’s about supporting each other and celebrating the craft we all care about.”
Whether you’re a filmmaker, a prop enthusiast, a collector, or just someone who loves making things, The Makinarium Forge is a place to learn, share, and connect with a community that celebrates imagination and craftsmanship.
