We know what you’re thinking: ANOTHER SDCC panel announcement already!? But yes, today the official schedule for Thursday has been revealed and we’ve heard about lots of the films, series and comics coming to con for 2024. This latest announcement comes from one of our favourite films of the year so-far, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.
In our ⭐⭐⭐⭐ review of the film Neil said “Director Wes Ball has crafted a visionary new entry in the long-running franchise ably and excitingly beginning to bridge the gap between the Caesar trilogy and the classic 1968 original.”
Now we get to celebrate the film all over again as fans will have multiple opportunities to engage with filmmakers, artists and talent that created this masterpiece. Here’s a look at 20th Century Studios’ full plans for the franchise across the weekend of July 24-28.

Join lead cast members Freya Allen (The Witcher), Kevin Durand (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Strain), Owen Teague (It & It Chapter Two, The Stand) and Peter Macon (The Orville, Family Guy) alongside Halon Entertainment visualization supervisor Casey Pyke (The Batman, The Suicide Squad), Wētā FX visual effects supervisor Erik Winquist (Avatar, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) and one of the film’s editors, Dan Zimmerman (The Christmas Chronicles, The Maze Runner franchise), as they unveil the VFX magic behind the majestic beasts and battles in bringing director Wes Ball’s vision to life.
