It’s Wednesday and that means it’s time to check out this week’s UK Official Film Chart as Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3 blasts back into Number 1

Following a surge in physical sales this week, the Marvel adventure returns to its previous chart-topping position after several weeks away. It relegates reigning champion Barbie to Number 2, and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny drops to Number 3.

This week’s highest new entry comes from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, landing straight in at Number 4. The film features a star-studded supporting cast, plus four young rising stars taking the lead roles of Donatello, Michaelangelo, Leonardo and Raphael.

After years of being sheltered from the human world, the turtles become heroes to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as regular teenagers. However, an army of mutants are soon unleashed, and the group find they might have bitten off more than they can chew.

Disney’s live-action The Little Mermaid also swims back into the Top 5 this week (5), finishing just ahead of fellow former chart-topper The Super Mario Bros. Movie (6).

A terrifying sequel is up next as Insidious: The Red Door makes its debut at Number 7. The fifth film in the franchise, it is a direct sequel to Insidious: Chapter 2 and sees many of the previous cast members reprise their roles as they venture back into The Further.

Rounding out the Top 10 this week is Fast X, down three (8), plus two DC Studios efforts, Blue Beetle (9) and The Flash (10) which both drop six places.
