Optimus Goes Primal With New TRANSFORMERS: RISE OF THE BEASTS Studio Series Figures

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is still out in cinemas, and while it has been enjoying its time on the big screen we’ve been blessed with a wave of new and exciting Transformers action figures. This 7th installment perfectly captured the bizarre nature of the Beast Wars cartoon by bringing the Maximals to the live-action format. Considering the nature of the Maximals themselves, it must have been quite the challenge… Yet, they nailed it.

With Rise of the Beasts introducing fans to a different side of the Transformers mythos, Hasbro have taken the opportunity to expand their beloved Studio Series collection with two very fine additions. Optimus Primal, the leader of the Maximals, has finally arrived as Leader Class Figure. These particular figures tend to have quite a hefty price tag (£55.99), but it is always worth it. In just 34 (hopefully simple) steps, Primal can transform from his hulking robot mode to his signature Gorilla mode. Equipped with scimitars, two chain pieces, an axe, and the Transwarp Key, Primal will look absolutely fantastic on anyone’s shelf.

Fans will also be able to use the gorgeous Peruvian Jungle backdrop to bring Optimus Primal to life. Can we also take a minute to admire the awesome artwork on the box?

Joining Primal in the fight against Unicron and his Terrorcons is the lovable and rebellious Mirage. Significantly smaller then Primal, Mirage can transform into his classy Porsche 911 Carrera mode in 25 steps. Equipped with his arm cannon, which can be attached in both modes, Mirage is ready for any challenge. Much like Primal. the Studio Series Mirage figure comes with his own unique backdrop taking fans away from the Jungle environment and into the heart of New York City. Mirage will cost £24.99.

Optimus Primal and Mirage can be preordered via Hasbro Pulse right now. Both figures are expected to be unleashed in December, 2023. Which Autobot, Maximal or Terrorcon would you like to see receive the Studio Series treatment? Let us know in the comments.
