If like us you’ve been wondering what brings Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) to the Big Apple in The Walking Dead: Dead City then wonder no more. Over the weekend AMC dropped a brand new teaser which sheds some light on the motivation for the change in location.
In the teaser a mysterious new villain can be scene taking Maggie’s son Hershel (Logan Kim). The kidnapping leads Maggie back to her old enemy as she proclaims that he is the only one who can help her bring her son home. Elsewhere the teaser gives us a much better of what to expect when the long-running franchise comes to the big city when the series launches in June.

Alongside the returns Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, The Walking Dead: Dead City will star Gaius Charles (Grey’s Anatomy) as Perlie Armstrong, Željko Ivanek as The Croat, Jonathan Higginbotham as Tommaso, Mahina Napoleon as Ginny, Trey Santiago-Hudson as Jano, and Karine Ortiz as Amaia.
The series premieres June 18, 2023 in the US. We’ll confirm UK release info when we have it.
