Dark Crisis #2 is published by DC Comics, written by Joshua Williamson and illustrated by Daniel Sampere.

Issue #2 is available from 6th July 2022 either directly from DC Comics online or from your local comic book store, digital copies will be available to download from the usual content providers.

    Synopsis

THE HOUSE OF NIGHTWING BURNS! As the good people of the world mourn the loss of the Justice League, the forces of evil have seized the opportunity to wreak havoc in a world without its heroes! Leading the charge is a super-powered Slade Wilson but this time there’s something dark fuelling his rage. With a massive army laying siege to Titans Tower, only Nightwing will have what it takes to stand in the way of Deathstroke’s forces but is this a fight Dick Grayson can win?

Look, up in the sky reinforcements are on the way! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s uh-oh…it’s Cyborg Superman. The world burns as Pariah and the Great Darkness make their play for planet Earth in this jaw-dropping second issue!

    Review

The world is still reeling from the disaster that took out the Justice League but drama waits for no man and the world continues to turn, evil forces seize the opportunity to take a stranglehold on the world causing shear chaos, but there are those who have the will to fight back.

One of the forces invading Titan Towers is a rage fuelled Deathstroke leading his army to take down the Titans once and for all, with the Towers up in flames and the end seemingly on the horizon who has the power to fight back? Only Nightwing normally has the power to lead the fight, but can this battered hero come out on top? He needs back up and desperately.

Joshua Williamson has a talent for writing stories that keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout, each panel draws you deeper in and makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck leaving you breathless at the end, Dark Crisis is definitely an event that has the potential to reshape the DC world forever and I am definitely here for the ride.

The illustrations by Daniel Sampere are of the usual epic standard giving the reader a true feeling of the emotion and raw feeling of the written words, the darken tones and deep colourings really bring home the intense nature of this title.

    Verdict

Another incredible addition to one of the biggest events in comics this year, hold on to your seats this is going to be a bumpy ride that will blow your mind.
