We have been absolutely bombarded with Star Wars news this year thanks to the celebrations happening over at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. We’ve had Andor, Fallen Order, Bad Batch, toys, books, collectibles, castings, and The Mandalorian… Star Wars Celebration has certainly wowed audiences this year, and it’s safe to say that Star Wars fans have a lot to look forward to. Among the mountain of announcements came a project that we were silently waiting for. Star Wars: Visions is getting a season two that will stream exclusively on Disney+ in Spring 2023.

The announcement was made during a panel that focused on looking back at the first season, which in itself was a huge achievement. It was an incredibly bold and unique project that allowed studios to experiment with the universe and present new interpretations. With that, the possibilities are quite endless. So, a season two would be a fantastic way to further explore the Star Wars universe with fresh twists and stunning animation from some of the best studios.

Currently, there aren’t any details about the stories of season two. However, one of the biggest surprises is that the second volume of Visions will feature animation from different studios around the world, not just from Japan. India, South Korea, France, South Africa, Chile, Spain, and many more are expected to contribute to Visions along with Japan.

That’s pretty much all we know at this stage. However, we can expect to hear more about the various stories and studios as the project enters productions. So make sure you keep your eyes peeled for more news.

While it is fantastic to see the Star Wars universe expanding once again in the animated medium, it would be great to see a continuation of some of the stories from the first volume. Although, an ambitious project such as Visions is a great opportunity to give the audience something new and fresh. Regardless, we can’t wait.

The first volume of Star Wars: Visions is available to watch on Disney+ now. You can also check out James’ review of each story, right here. Are you excited for more animation stories? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
