LEGO Unveils Magnificent Transforming OPTIMUS PRIME Set

LEGO have been doing such an amazing job with their sets. Each new set gets better and better, and they seem to be experimenting with different fandoms and passions. We’ve had some insane The Batman sets, a Great Pyramid of Giza, a typewriter, a Tallneck from Horizon Forbidden West, and now the Transformers have entered LEGO’s immense range with a 2-in-1 build of the beloved Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots.

That’s right, the Transformers have been… LEGOfied. The set was announced very recently and the responses have been brilliant. Transformers fans are incredibly excited for this set and it is incredibly easy to see why.

Just look at Optimus, he is a work of art. Optimus has 19 points of articulation and a chest compartment to store the legendary Matrix of Leadership. But that’s not all… He also comes with a jetpack, an ion blaster, his iconic Energon axe, and an Energon cube.

It actually transforms. We repeat, it actually transforms. This incredible LEGO set isn’t far away either. Optimus Prime is set to drop on June 1st and will cost £149.99. Considering that this set is just over 1500 pieces and stands at 35cm tall once built, the price tag is actually pretty decent. You then have to remember that this particular set actually has two forms. You can either display Optimus in his robot form, or transform him into his iconic truck mode. Either way, both look absolutely fantastic.

Unfortunately, this set isn’t available to preorder. So, on June 1st it’ll be a mad dash to the LEGO website. With the mass hype surrounding this set, especially from us, there may be quite a queue wherever you look. Save the date, and set an alarm because Optimus Prime is ready to transform and roll out!

Fancy more from Cybertron? Transformers: Rise of the Beasts , the seventh movie in the franchise, is now set to be released on June 9th, 2023, and you can find out more about the next installment right here.
