Justice League vs The Legion of Heroes #2 is published by DC Comics, written by Brian Michael Bendis and art by Scott Godlewski.

Issue #2 will be available from 8th March 2022 either directly from DC Comics or from your local comic book store, digital copies will be available to download from the usual content providers.

Synopsis

“The Gold Lantern Saga” part two! Who is the Gold Lantern? And what does his power source have to do with the Great Darkness? Is the Gold Lantern everything it promises to be?The Justice League and Legion of Super-Heroes team up and travel to each other’s time periods to unravel the mysteries that have led them to the precipice of this Great Darkness.

Review

Issue #2 sees the continuation of the Justice League vs Legion of Superheros as what may have once been rivalries are put to one side as they must come together for the greater good. The heroes are mysteriously transported forward in time to the 31st century and now the race is on to save the universe qorking together alongside new Legion member Gold Lantern, but first the is the small matter of a mysterious and threatening dark cloud appearing over head.

The bulk of the story acts like a prologue for Gold Lantern as we are introduced to the character before he had his powers and with the narrative we are taken on a journey to how we got to this point making the character a bit more relatable to the reader as we get the feeling of the person behind the mask. Brian Michael Bendis does a great job in bringing all the strong characters together on the same page and the story flows quite well

The invigorating story written by Brian Michael Bendis is fully action packed and builds the tension between the two super groups perfectly, once I opened it I couldn’t put it down each page building more and more excitement.

Scott Godlewski covers the art side of things in this issue injecting solid illustrations and bold colours which makes the story told come to life and capture the readers imagination.

Verdict

A tension building issue that captures the reader’s imagination and taking them on an action packed time travelling journey that doesn’t look like sloeing down any time soon. A brilliant issue that I can’t wait to see more of and get those burning questions answered.
