Earlier this week Paramount+ and CBS confirmed the March return of Star Trek: Picard. Now we’ve got a new look at the upcoming second season with a huge new trailer.

Our latest look at brand new episodes brings with it some very familiar faces. We’ve got our first look at the returning Whoopi Goldberg as the beloved Guinan from Star Trek: The Next Generation. We’ve also got new looks at Annie Wersching as the Borg Queen and the returning Brent Spiner who is playing a new member of the Soong family.

A new synopsis for the ten-episode second season teases the road not travelled for Admiral Picard:

Season two takes the legendary Jean-Luc Picard and his crew on a bold and exciting new journey: into the past. Picard must enlist friends both old and new to confront the perils of 21st century Earth in a desperate race against time to save the galaxy’s future – and face the ultimate trial from one of his greatest foes.

Star Trek: Picard Season 2 sees Alex Kurtzman, Akiva Goldsman, Terry Matalas, Michael Chabon, Doug Aarniokoski, Dylan Massin, Patrick Stewart, Heather Kadin, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth serve as executive producers; Aaron Baiers and Kirsten Beyer serve as co-executive producers. Akiva Goldsman and Terry Matalas serve as co-showrunners for Season 2.

Star Trek: Picard will return to Paramount+ in the US on March 3. We fully expect new episodes to debut on Prime Video in the UK the following day, March 4.
