After each exciting announcement we are instantly hit with another. We’ve barely been able to recuperate, but it has absolutely been worth it. This is an announcement that we are incredibly excited about. The Jedi and the light side of the Force have always been the predominant focus point in the Star Wars universe. We’ve seen how the dark side can corrupt but we haven’t explored it tin great detail. Well, that changes. I present to you, The Acolyte.
Leslye Headland brings a new @StarWars series to @DisneyPlus with The Acolyte. “The Acolyte” is a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era.

We are heading to the final days of the High Republic but instead of focusing on the Jedi, the Sith and the dark side will be the centre of attention.
This show will give viewers an exciting opportunity to explore the roots of the Sith, how they emerged, and how they use the dark side. It’s hard to pinpoint what will be included. We could meet some very important people from the Sith mythology, or we could get an entirely new exploration of Sith lore. At the moment, it’s impossible to say.
Either way, this is a huge deal for Star Wars fans. We can’t wait to see how this show develops. The Acolyte will be produced by Russian Doll director Leslye Headland.
