Malik (Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, American Horror Story and Canada’s Drag Race) and Aaron (Ari Cohen, IT : Chapter 2) move to a small town in search of a better life for them and their mid teen daughter (Jennifer Laporte, Web of Dreams). Nothing is as it seems as something dark and sinister lies behind the postcard town and their new neighbors (Lochlyn Munro, CW’s Riverdale).
Looking at the trailer I am definitely interested to see how the film handles the issues of anti LGBTQ stereotyping, according to the press release SPIRAL is a horror film for the current age, SPIRAL skillfully dissects themes of ostracization, otherness, and the cycles of societal rejection and hate, so a lot of social taboos are being addressed here I will definitely be interested how this all comes across in the film.
