After years of campaigning- billboards, charity events, tweets, and commitment… it has finally been confirmed that we will be getting in highly anticipated and mysterious Snyder Cut in 2021.
During a live watch party of Man of Steel with Zack Snyder and some surprise guests, it was finally announced that the Snyder Cut will be available on HBO Max in 2021.
The entire event has been a sensational thing to witness- I have even been personally involved. The #ReleasetheSnyderCut movement became massive. On the film’s second anniversary, the hashtag was trending all over the world with stars getting involved. Such stars included Gal Gadot and Ben Affleck who added to the overwhelming cry for the Snyder Cut.
However, it is currently unclear as to how the Justice League will be presented to us. According to the Hollywood Reporter, it could be a massive event separated into 6 chapters. At the moment it does seem undecided. But Snyder did confirm that.
“It will be an entirely new thing, and, especially talking to those who have seen the released movie, a new experience apart from that movie,”
Zack and Deborah are currently in the process of reassembling the original post production crew to finish the film. This includes scoring, cutting, and adding some new visual effects. This process may also consist of bringing in actors to record additional dialogue.

Zack adds that he is very grateful to Warner Bros. for allowing him the opportunity to finish what he originally set out to do.
“This return to that pedigree and to let my singular vision of my movie be realized, in this format, in this length, is unprecedented and a brave move.”
Honestly, I am overwhelmed. Not just because I know that it is finally happening but because of how prevalent the movement has become. This wasn’t just about seeing the cut, it was about letting a director finish what he started.
Robert Greenblatt, Chairman of Warner Media Entertainment and Direct-To-Consumer also added.
“Since I got here 14 months ago, the chant to #ReleaseTheSnyderCut has been a daily drumbeat in our offices and inboxes. Well, the fans have asked, and we are thrilled to finally deliver. At the end of the day, it really is all about them and we are beyond excited to be able to release Zack’s ultimate vision for this film in 2021.
