Black Widow’s solo film will mark the first installment in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Despite the film being in production for only a month, San Diego Comic-Con was able to deliver a lot of exciting news concerning our favourite assassin.
Along with a release date, fans also witnessed a sizzle reel that showed off shooting locations and an epic fight sequence between Scarlett Johansson and her on-screen sister, Florence Pugh.
Yes, that’s right. We’ll be meeting the family. Black Widow will see Romanoff going to Budapest to track down her sister. Of course, this won’t be her only challenge. You may even say she’ll be facing a grueling task.
While tracking down her Sister, Romanoff will have to deal with the formidable Taskmaster, a villain who takes pleasure in mimicking the opponent by studying them up close. Fans were able to get a first official look of the Taskmaster who was rocking his shield.
Joining Scarlett Johansson is Oscar winner Rachel Weisz, David Harbor and O. T. Fagbenle.
The film is directed by Cate Shortland and is set to arrive in theaters on May 1st 2020.
