Today we got a new image from the upcoming Hellboy reboot. Empire Magazine released the below teaser image along with a short interview snippet with direct Neil Marshall.
Marshall has discussed with the magazine how he approached rebooting the franchise. Discussing the tone of the latest version of the character Marshall confirmed Hellboy will be “more violent and more bloody.”
“It was always a case of, ‘When in doubt, go back to the source material.’ Some of the stuff is pretty sick,” Marshall told Empire magazine. “More violent and more bloody. We weren’t making it with handcuffs on.”

Hellboy stars David Harbour as Hellboy, Ian McShane as Trevor Bruttenholm, Milla Jovovich as Nimue, Sasha Lane as Alice Monaghan, Penelope Mitchell as Ganeida and Daniel Dae Kim as Ben Daimio. The movie is directed by Neil Marshall and arrives in cinemas April 12, 2019.
