Discussing Film has exclusively revealed that the script for Suicide Squad 2 has been completed by writer Todd Stashwick.
The site sat down with Stashwick for a catchup about his currently projects and talk inevitably turned to the DC Films project. When asked about the status of the script Stashwick said:
We have finished our draft and I’m really proud of it.
When pushed for further information the writer remained hesitant to give away too much. He did add that Suicide Squad 2 would be a sequel to the film rather than a reboot or entirely different world. He added that his intention is too tell an exciting story “deepening these characters.”
The film is rumoured to go in to production in late 2019 following Margot Robbie completing work on Birds of Prey.
