A new report from Deadline has Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi is in talks to join the cast of James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad.
Following the rumour that Firefly actor Nathan Fillion has signed on for an undisclosed role it seems that Waititi is also taking on a secret role in the movie.
Waititi joins the returning Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney and Viola Davis, plus newcomers Idris Elba, John Cena, David Dastmalchian, Daniela Melchior and Storm Reid. Production is set to begin in Atalanta in the next few weeks.
The Suicide Squad (aka Suicide Squad 2) is aiming for an August 6, 2020 release date.
