Based on what we have seen so far, Ad Astra is shaping up to the an intriguing new space adventure. The 20th Century Fox release is due to hit cinemas in September and we previously brought you a look at the movie’s first trailer.
Now the studio, fresh from it’s merger with Disney, has released an exciting new TV spot via the movie’s social media channels.
Packed with new footage the spot shows Academy Award-Winner Brad Pitt setting off to uncover his father’s secrets in order to stop the destruction of our solar system.

Directed by James Gray the movie centres on Astronaut Roy McBride (Brad Pitt) who travels to the outer edges of the solar system to find his missing father (Tommy Lee Jones) and to unravel a mystery that threatens the survival of our planet. His journey will uncover secrets that challenge the nature of human existence and our place in the cosmos.
The movie stars Brad Pitt, Tommy Lee Jones, Ruth Negga and Donald Sutherland with a screenplay by James Gray and Ethan Gross.
