Overnight Warner Bros. and DC has released a surprise teaser trailer for Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League. The sequel to 2018’s Batman Ninja was only announced as in production a couple of weeks ago but it seems the studio can’t contain their excitement for the highly anticipated sequel.
Little is known about the story of the new film. This teaser does give us a better idea about what to expect however. It appears that when Batman returns to the present day Gotham, and perhaps the entire of Earth, has become a feudal battleground. There are quick glimpses of Green Lantern, The Flash, Aquaman and Wonder Woman, all of whom have received a makeover in line with Japanese iconography. It certainly seems like Batman and Robin will have to face their former Justice League colleagues whilst perhaps on a mission to fix the changes to the timeline?

The new sequel will be once again be produced by Warner Bros. Japan. Junpei Mizusaki returns as director and will co-direct the new film with Shinji Takagi. The script for Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League is written by Kazuki Nakashima, with character design by Takashi Okazaki and music by Yugo Kanno, all of whom also worked on the original film.
No release date has been announced for the film as yet. Stay tuned for more on this film as production continues.
