Variety is reporting that production on The Flash is shifting to a “late 2019” start date. The change is start date is to allow directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein to ensure they have the best possible script in place.
The film had been eyeing a March 2019 shoot for a release sometime in 2020. It’s most likely that release will shift back slightly in to 2021 to allow sufficient time to produce the movie. Ezra Miller will return as the Scarlett Speedster, most likely once shooting has completed on Fantastic Beasts 3.
In the meantime Warner Bros. is busy with on going shoot for Joker starring Joaquin Phoenix. Birds of Prey starring Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn goes in to production in early 2019 and Wonder Woman 1984 is nearing the end of its shoot.
