Another big comic book movie has found itself moving release dates in the wake of on going Coronavirus pandemic delays.
Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have confirmed that they are moving the release date of Tom Holland’s third outing as Spider-Man back by one month.
The film, which we’re just calling Spider-Man 3 for now, was originally set for a November 5, 20201 release. Now the film will instead hit screens on December 17, 2021.
Sony moved Spider-Man 3 in the wake of Disney moving Avatar 2 which was originally set to release on December 16. The move by Disney offered Sony the chance to take up valuable screens during the Christmas holiday period. A prime time for family cinema-going.
Little is known about Spider-Man 3 for now although we do know that much of the principal cast will return alongside director Jon Watts.
