Review
In this issue we catch up with Punchline and her Royal Flush gang as she continues on her vengeance driven crusade to the summit of the Gotham underworld, but she’s done playing with the small guys she wants the main one, the numero uno she’s going for Black Mask. Punchline needs to be ready for the fight as Black Mask won’t just lay down or even welcome her with open arms, the only language he speaks is violence.
Bluebird is on her recovery journey after the vicious battle with Punchline meeting with Nightwing drives her forward, Punchline has Bluebird’s brother which means now this is personal and she must be stopped, at all costs.
This series is fast becoming one of my favourite DC comics, Punchline is the heroine I never thought I needed within the universe but she adds so much and will continue to rock the DC world. Tini Howard and Blake Howard have written a story that not only pulls you in with it’s intense speed but once you’re there it treats you to an emotional rollercoaster that is a pleasure to read, Punchline is fast becoming one of the main villains in the DC world, a change is coming.
Max Raynor provides some eye catching illustrations that illuminate the story and ramp up the intensity of the written words.
Verdict
This series gets better with each issue, Punchline is a vibrant but dangerous villain that I’m enjoying watching her grow. A series that is definitely one not to be missed.
