Review
In this issue we see Punchline as she begins her assault on Gotham with her Royal Flush gang but as expected the underground of Gotham aren’t going to welcome them with tea and biscuits. A trip to the local chemical facility brings a meeting with the Hasigawa clan and they are in no mood for this inconvenient interruption, as the battle commences and kicks up a notch our favourite cowled Dark Knight makes an appearance but is Batman here to help Punchline or prevent her plan? But towards the end of the book we find out that it’s not just Batman that Punchline needs to be aware of, hints are made of a possible introduction of another iconic DC character is on their way.
For the first two issues of this series I have enjoyed the writing of the Punchline story arc with writers Blake M Howard and Tini Howard creating another dramatically dark story arc that again has the potential to rock Gotham to it’s core and definitely has the potential of becoming something big.
The illustrations from Gleb Melnikov bring a colourful tone to the book, each panel pops of the page engaging the reader deeper into the story making you feel every word, a great job and can’t wait to see what is next.
Verdict
A story that is rapidly gathering pace, allowing each character to organically grow adding depth to the overall arc. Definitely one to look out for in the year to come, a must read 5⭐️ comic for me one not to be missed.
