There were so many fears about further delays for Santa Monica Studios‘ God of War: Ragnarok. After its delay in 2021, many people seemed convinced that the highly anticipated sequel would be set back even more. Howere, it appears as though people are a lot more understanding when it comes to video game delayes, and we have Cyberpunk to thank for that. Thankfully, God of War is still set for 2022, and today we finally received a release date. Kratos and Atreus will be back to fight the endless horde of monsters as the end of the world approaches.
Fimbulwinter is here… Ragnarok, the end of everything, is nigh. Fans will be able to jump back into the world of Norse Mythology on November 9th, 2022. God of War: Ragnarok will be available on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
On top of a release date, Sony and Santa Monica Studio also unleashed a short trailer that gave views a glimpse of what is coming. Among the other gods that Kratos has enraged, we’ll also have to deal with magnificent beasts like Fenrir. Now, that is going to be quite the boss fight. Depending on the narrative, it’ll be interesting to see how this world deals with Fenrir and Loki… Considering that Loki is in fact Fenrir’s father. If you didn’t know, Norse Mythology can be quite bizarre. Fascinating, but bizarre.
