20th Century Fox has released the first post for new Christmas movie Once Upon A Deadpool. The PG-13 re-release of Deadpool 2 lands in cinemas in December 21. $1 from each ticket sold will be donated to the charity F**k Cancer which is being temporarily renamed to Fudge Cancer for the festive period.
Once Upon A Deadpool will feature new scenes shot with Ryan Reynolds and Wonder Years actor Fred Savage. “Fox has been asking for a PG-13 basically since the start in 2006,” Reynolds explained in a recent interview. “I’ve said no since 2006. Now, this one time, I said ‘Yes’ on two conditions. First, a portion of the proceeds had to go to charity. Second, I wanted to kidnap Fred Savage. The second condition took some explaining…”
After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.
Ryan Reynolds will be joined in Deadpool 2 by T.J. Miller, Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni and Stefan Kapičić who all reprise roles from the first film. Newcomers to the franchise include Josh Brolin as Cable and Zazie Beetz, Jack Kesy and Shioli Kutsuna. David Leitch takes over directing duties for the sequel.
Once Upon a Deadpool lands in cinemas on December 12, 2019.
