Shudder, the premium streaming service for horror, thriller and the supernatural, has released a trailer ahead of the 1 April second season premiere of Creepshow.
Theacclaimed anthology series has just been renewed for a third season of six episodes to premiere later this year. Based on George A. Romero’s iconic 1982 movie,Creepshow is executive produced by showrunner Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead). Actors Ethan Embry (Grace and Frankie, Sneaky Pete) and Andrew Bachelor, aka King Bach (King Bachelor’s Pad, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before) will join as guest stars in season three, with more guest stars to be announced.

Segments in the new five-episode season directed by Greg Nicotero will include“Pesticide,” starring Keith David (The Thing), Ashley Laurence (Hellraiser) and JoshMcDermitt (The Walking Dead) and written by Frank Dietz (I Hate Kids), in which anexterminator makes an infernal bargain; and “Model Kid,” written by returningCreepshow writer John Esposito (season one’s “Night of the Paw”), which is about a12-year-old monster fan who turns to hand-built model kits to escape his unhappyreality.
The upcoming second season of Creepshow will feature a star-studded cast that alsoincludes Ali Larter (The Rookie), Ryan Kwanten (True Blood), Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator), C. Thomas Howell (Criminal Minds), Denise Crosby (Star Trek: The NextGeneration), Breckin Meyer (Robot Chicken), Ted Raimi (The Evil Dead), ImanBenson (BlackAF), Kevin Dillon (Entourage), Eric Edelstein (We Bare Bears), JustinLong (Die Hard 4.0), D’Arcy Carden (The Good Place) and Molly Ringwald (TheBreakfast Club).
In its first season, Creepshow smashed records for Shudder in number of viewers,new subscriber sign-ups and total minutes streamed to become the most watchedprogram in Shudder history. The show was a hit with critics as well as fans as one of2019’s best-reviewed new genre series, with a 97% Fresh rating on review aggregatorRotten Tomatoes®. The successful first season was followed by two specials in 2020,October’s A Creepshow Animated Special featuring the voices of Kiefer Sutherland(24) and Joey King (The Kissing Booth) and December’s A Creepshow HolidaySpecial starring Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect) and Adam Pally (The Mindy Project).
