More sad news coming out regarding cinematic releases today. Disney and 20th Century Studios have removed the releases of Free Guy and Death on The Nile from their December slot with no new date announced leaving the film industry and fans with more uncertainty.
With Ryan Reynolds action comedy Free Guy originally set for release December 11, 2020 and the Kenneth Branagh directed Death on The Nile originally set for December 18, it is now up in the air when both films shall be released with a possible move to next year likely.
With other big name films moving recently including Wonder Woman 84, although this has been moved to a December 25 release it is more than likely to move again to next year, this is indeed worrying times for the industry. With Disney moving their next big animated release Soul to a Christmas Day release straight to their Disney+ streaming platform it does beg the question is this the way forward for the big film companies to release straight to stream within these uncertain times?
