The Mandalorian quietly continues gearing up for to launch with Disney+ sometime in 2019. So far we have seen paparazzi shots of some of the sets. We’ve also had a look at someone in a Fett style costume and we know George Lucas has visited production.
Now, thanks to Variety, we know who will be taking the lead role in the series. Wonder Woman 1984 and Game of Thrones star Pedro Pascal will be playing the lead in the series. The set after the fall of the Empire and before the First Order surfaced. It is expected to follow the adventures of a lone gunfighter (Pascal) in the outer reaches of the galaxy and far from the authority of the New Republic.
The Mandalorian is the first of several planned Star Wars series set to premiere on the new Disney streaming service due to launch in 2019.
