Although his first movie isn’t in cinemas yet a new report is suggesting we may be seeing much more of Tom Hardy’s Venom in the near future.
It’s no secret that Sony Pictures wants to develop a universe around its Spider-Man characters. But with Tom Holland’s wall crawler firmly ensconced in the MCU it seems he is off limits for any of these new movies.
However the future of the Spider-verse appears to buried in Esquire‘s new profile of Tom Hardy. The magazine details that Hardy “may well appear” in many of the other Spider-verse films to provide the connective tissue.
With Morbius the Living Vampire currently preparing to shoot and Silver & Black working on a script and now Kraven the Hunter in development it does seem Sony has big plans for its Marvel characters.
One of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex and badass characters comes to the big screen, starring Academy Award® nominated actor Tom Hardy as the lethal protector Venom.
Venom stars Tom Hardy in the lead role. Supporting cast includes Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott and Woody Harrelson. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) from a script by Scott Rosenberg & Jeff Pinkner. Executive producers are David Householter, the legendary Stan Lee and Kelly Marcel.
The film arrives in cinemas October 5, 2018! For more check out our Venom archive here!
