After weeks of waiting with little promotion a new trailer for Saban’s ‘Power Rangers’ has hit the web. Clocking in at over two minutes the trailer gives fans their first look at Bryan Cranston as Zordon, Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa plus the famous Zords and not to mention the Rangers in full costume.
Fans concerned about the look of Zordon and Alpha 5 after the recently leaked picture (see it here) quickly had their fears put to rest as both are suitably impressive when seen in live action.
Whilst Zordon presents himself very much in the same vein as the technology seen in ‘Man of Steel’ Alpha 5 looks a little more like he belongs in a child-friendly sci-fi action film. Checkout the trailer in the player below:

Of course what most fans were waiting for was a glimpse of the Rangers in full costume and their all important Zords. The news is that both look great! We have to admit that although we had good feelings about both we still had some nerves when it came to seeing them in action.
The trailer gives small snippets of the costumed heroes in action fighting the slightly less well designed putties before the action shifts to the Zords. Seeing them roar in to action then look incredibly impressive particularly when compared to the schlocky costumes of the TV series.
It is perhaps Goldar who has the most disappointing redesign. Given that all of the toy previews for the Zords and Rangers dropped much of the detail we had hoped the same could be said for Goldar. Sadly we were wrong.
