Rumours are going crazy this week regarding the planned reshoots for X-Men: Dark Phoenix.
First we heard from Montreal based news site LaPresse that the film would be spending around three months in the city for reshoots. The films initial shoot took a little under four months.
This rumour lead many to believe that almost the entire movie was being reshot, something relatively unheard of even in todays Hollywood environment.
Now Collider is completely debunking those rumours. According to them the reshoots are planned to last only two and a half weeks!
That would put the reshoots as being much less extensive and most likely to only add some additional scenes or tweaks to the story.
It seems everyday we get a new rumour which is instantly debunked. Just who do we believe?
X-Men: Dark Phoenix is being directed by Simon Kinberg. James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender are confirmed to return to the roles of Charles Xavier, Mystique and Magneto respectively. Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Olivia Munnm Nicholas Hoult, Alexandra Shipp and Kodi Smit-McPhee will also return.
The film is due for release on February 14, 2019.
