During his Spotlight of Geoff Johns panel today the veteran comic book writers announced he is finally returning to a story which began in the DC Rebirth special.
Batman: Three Jokers will be a three-issue series which will focus on the plot thread surrounding Jokers origin. In the Rebirth special Johns posed the question about whether there had only been one Joker in the DC universe.
It was revealed that there were as many as three Jokers in existence. Now he is returning to close the plot thread with Jason Fabok and Brad Anderson providing the artwork.
Johns teased that the series will focus on the impact Joker has had on Batman, Barbara Gordon and Jason Todd. Remarking that he had little interest in writing a Batman story John discussed how he approached this as more of a cautionary tale for Joker featuring Batman.
Following the panel DC Comics tweeted a picture of teaser artwork by Fabok.
