Rejoice Bat-fans! Our friends over at IGN have unveiled the first full trailer for ‘Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders’.
A short teaser trailer (see it here) was released over the weekend but now we have our first full look at the film.
Bringing back the talents of Adam West, Burst Ward and Julie Newmar the film promises a return to Batman’s 1960s TV roots. The trailer doesn’t give too much away about the story but does feature our first looks at Joker, Catwoman, Riddler and Penguin. Plus looks at the Batcave, Batmobile and the other dynamic duo of Commissioner Gordon and Chief O’Hara.
IGN have also brought us the official synopsis for the film:
It’s back to the 1960s as Batman and Robin spring into action when Gotham City is threatened by a quartet of Batman’s most fiendish foes – Penguin, The Joker, Riddler and Catwoman. This time, the four Super-Villains have combined their wicked talents to hatch a plot so nefarious that the Dynamic Duo will need to go to outer space (and back) to foil their arch enemies and restore order in Gotham City. It’s a truly fantastic adventure that will pit good against evil, good against good, evil against evil … and feature two words that exponentially raise the stakes for both sides: Replicator Ray. Holy Multiplication Tables!
‘Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders’ will be available in the US for streaming from October 11th followed by Blu-Ray and DVD releases on November 1st.
Amazon.co.uk have a provisional European release date of December 31st. At present only DVD pre-orders are being taken.
