Has ‘Flashpoint’ finally found its directors?

The Flash - Flashpoint

It’s been a little while since we had an update on the Flashpoint movie. The last news came back in September when Robert Zemeckis was still in the frame to direct. At that stage we understood a new page one rewrite of the script was underway.

Overnight Variety has brought a new story to the web regarding the films director/s. It appears that Spider-Man: Homecoming scribes John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are in negotiations to direct the film.

Interestingly the trade reports that Warner Bros. had initially tapped Ben Affleck to direct the film. It would appear that Affleck passed on helming the film for unknown reasons.

It is still unknown at this stage when the film will enter production. Ezra Miller is still hard at work on Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindlewald for the next few months. Warner Bros. has yet to comment on the story but will bring you an official announcement as and when it comes.
