It’s been a little while since we had any updates on Matt Reeves The Batman. When last we heard about the movie it was aiming for a late 2019 production start, November being the month banded around by the press.
Now journalist Justin Kroll has shared a brief update on Twitter. According to the film writer for Variety Reeves is still polishing the script for the movie. Ensuring the best possible start it may mean that production shifts back to an early 2020 start.
There’s no reason to fear however, it’s unlikely that moving back the shoot by two or three months will impact on the June 2021 release. It may mean we have to wait a little longer for casting news though…
Here's a small BATMAN update for you: hearing the script is still being polished up and that there's a possibility shooting begins at the top of 2020 instead of fall 2019. Which means it'll probably still be a minute before we find out who the next Caped Crusader will be

The Batman is due for release on June 25, 2021.
