Captain Marvel co-director Ryan Fleck has been discussing the process the team took to decide upon the two end credit scenes in the movie. For those who have seen the movie you’ll know the first of those scenes ties in direct to Avengers: Endgame.
The second scene follows Marvel’s formula of including a comedic moment connected to the story of the movie. In this case we see Goose the Cat coughing up the Tesseract as if it were a hairball.
But at one point there could have been a very different scene in its place. Speaking with Empire Fleck said “There was an idea on the table about having Jude Law […] emerge from his pod on Sakaar and then have him look around and see the Devil’s Anus behind him and wonder, ‘Where the hell am I?'”
Would you have preferred to see the move tie in to Thor: Ragnarok? Or were you happy with a little more Goose?
