Although it’s not due to be released until 3rd June 2016 production is already getting underway on the sequel to 2014’s ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This time around the directors chair is being filled by David Green (‘Earth to Echo’) who takes over from Jonathan Liebesman whilst scriptwriting duties remain with Josh Applebaum and Andé Nemec.
Little is known about casting on the sequel but Megan Fox and William Fitchner are due to reprise their roles of April O’Neill and Eric Sachs from the first film. Will Arnett was recently spotted filming a scene with model Alessandra Ambrosio reportedly for the sequel so expect to see Vernon crop up during the movie.
This week via teenagemutantninjaturtles.com came news that NBA stars DeAndre Jordan, Matt Barnes, J.J. Redick, Austin Rivers & Spencer Hawes would be filming cameo appearances. J.J. Redick appeared in an interview to drop the bomb that sequel will be called ‘Half Shell’.
Sounds to us like a shooting title but maybe we’ll soon be buying our tickets to ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Half Shell’ personally it doesn’t sound like an overly exciting title but certainly fits with the franchise.
How do you feel about the title?
