Congratulations to the cast and crew of Captain Marvel as the movie has crossed $1 billion at the worldwide box office.
The movie is now the 7th in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to cross the landmark figure worldwide and the 10th comic book movie overall to do so.
As you can see from the tweet below the MCU has now grossed an incredible $18.5B in its lifetime. A feat which is utterly unbelievable when you look back to the days of Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk when the franchise was in its infancy.

Jackson as Nick Fury, Jude Law as Mar-Vell, Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer, Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva, and Ben Mendelsohn, Lashana Lynch, Algenis Perez Soto and McKenna Grace in as-yet-undisclosed roles.
Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck from a script they wrote with Liz Flahive, Carly Mensch, Meg LeFauve, Nicole Perlman and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Captain Marvel is in cinemas now.
